Here is where I ramble. Some of it is polished, some of it is in-progress notes that I refine over time. I mainly write about life experiences, thoughts on how we do work, and random ideas that I'm thinking about.

There's no AI slop here. Just pure, 100% human-generated filth. More yappenings coming soon ...

Work in Progress

Pitch: Wasia (Restaurant)

Why this exists

Since around 2018, Americans have become increasingly interested in Asian culture (food, music, and art). By proximity, this has also increased curiosity around half-Asian identities, especially the Wasian experience.

I think this cultural shift may be large enough to support a Western-Asian fusion restaurant. As a Wasian, my childhood was filled with fusion dishes that came from my parents trying to recreate what they grew up with while still making meals we would all want to eat.

Thus, as any perfectly SANE individual would do, I:

  • Bought a domain
  • Built a waitlist
  • Started drafting a menu

Check out wasia.info to join the waitlist. But first, let's talk about the idea in more detail...

Concept

Sit down restaurant serving Western-Asian fusion dishes (mainly from my childhood, but also taking inspiration from other Western-Asian fusions dishes from around the world)

Vibe

  • American + Asian inspired interior (I really don't know what I want. Tbh, I just want something that does a little bit of both.)
  • Upscale casual dining but less yuppy (which I know is oxymoronic)

Menu (Prospective)

Currently, I'm acutally having a really hard time making this menu diverse. There's good content here so far, but I need to make the flavors for each dish unique from other dishes on the menu. Check it out here and give me critiques / suggestions.
